Education Planning & Assessment Coordination

The Education Planning & Assessment Coordination team (EPAC) is part of the department of Education Support. The team is responsible for:

  • The (process) coordination of digital testing.
  • The implementation of all digital testing.
  • (Process) coordination of surveillance for all written tests.
  • Process management for educational planning at institutional level.
  • The management of the applications required for both processes.

Within EPAC, responsibility for digital testing has been assigned for both the harmonised process and the operational support of the tests. Three sub-teams: process coordination, operational support and functional management ensure that all digital examinations are conducted with the necessary high quality. They do this in close collaboration with the faculty coordinators for digital examinations and colleagues from the Campus & Facilities and Information and Library Services divisions.

The examinations are administered in the Comenius Building. Each year, more than 130,000 students take an examination supported by E-support and invigilation.

Process Management Education planning

In collaboration with the education planning process coordinator, the education planning process management team is responsible for organising and continuously improving the services provided for education and examination planning by facilitating effective collaboration between all parties involved. Process management supports faculties and departments in developing university-wide frameworks, establishing decision-making processes, monitoring compliance and taking the initiative for reassessment. The education planning process management team ensures the structural maintenance and continuous development of, among other things, the uniform annual calendar, the vision on education and examination planning, and the quality criteria for education and examination timetables, based on a multi-year development agenda and a fixed PDCA cycle.
