The Financial & Management staff department is responsible for timely, accurate and complete administration of the first, second and third funding streams. The staff department supports and advises the faculty board, the directors of research and education, the department chairs, the heads of Professional Services and the directors of the independent units in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of financial policy and accommodation. In addition, the Finance & Management department takes on a financial framework role in the management of the faculty by providing comprehensive advice on the use of resources, financial risks and the feasibility of policy and administrative choices.
The department does this by:
- providing up-to-date, reliable financial information
- providing solicited and unsolicited advice and support in the area of financial issues
- identifying important financial/tax developments.
The Finance & Management staff department also includes the local privacy officer and the business security officer. They monitor internal procedures and compliance with these procedures in relation to the security of (digital) data and privacy legislation.
