FNWI Finance & Control
Ambition and focus areas
As Finance & Control Professionals, we are motivated to contribute every day to the realization of Radboud University's strategy, with its core tasks of education and research. We add value by supporting university management in achieving their objectives and providing input to enhance decision-making quality. This is achieved by providing accurate, timely, reliable, and relevant management information with the aim of supporting decision-making and enabling timely adjustments. We offer both solicited and unsolicited advice and ensure that financial management is in order. We take pride in our work and are recognized by the organization as a critical, proactive, and reliable partner.
We achieve this through the following three focus areas:
We support, advise, and coordinate from a professionally critical, independent, proactive, and future-oriented perspective. We have the knowledge and skills to look ahead and understand what the organization needs now and in the future. As Finance & Control professionals, we are informed about current internal and external developments. We are eager to further develop ourselves and seize the opportunities provided for that purpose. We continuously seek connections with others, enjoy collaborating, and share our expertise and knowledge.
To effectively steer, we ensure that through accurate, timely, and comprehensive information, there is insight into performances and activities. The progress of achieving our objectives and tasks can thus be monitored. By combining integrated data with relevant tools, it becomes possible to gain real-time insight from a single business perspective, enhancing the quality of decision-making.
We provide proactive advice to management. We conduct analyses, develop scenarios, and create long-term plans. We identify significant risks and opportunities. From our own professional responsibility, we make financial aspects transparent and ensure they are part of the decision-making process. As Finance & Control professionals, we are well-versed in external reporting guidelines and current developments in our field. This results in well-maintained administration and reporting that complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Drawing on our expertise, we work together with our colleagues in ICT to ensure that responsible management can utilize technically and functionally advanced infrastructure that meets the organization's needs. By continuously improving our administrative processes with our 'clients,' user-friendliness is significantly enhanced. We strive to reduce administrative burdens where possible without compromising compliance requirements. Through smart utilization of business intelligence, digitization, automation, and robotics, we enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes.
