The HR Service Desk & Personnel Management are the first point of contact within the HR Service Centre. They ensure that queries are dealt with promptly and, where necessary, refer them to the appropriate specialist. Behind the scenes, the Payroll Department, Functional Management and the Terms of Employment Advice Desk work together to handle queries thoroughly and comprehensively. A dedicated team of colleagues ensures that queries are answered promptly, issues are resolved, or that you are put in touch with the right specialist.

Recruitment and Labour Market Communications

The Recruitment and Labour Market Communications team provides the faculties and other university departments with expertise, process support and other services focused on recruitment, selection and labour market communications. The team is committed to providing excellent and innovative recruitment services to our clients, both within the organisation and in the labour market. The team works together with colleagues from Marketing & Communications and the faculties to develop an internal recruitment culture and a strong employer brand.

Hiring desk

The hiring desk oversees the entire process of hiring external staff and ensures that applications are handled carefully and in accordance with legislation and regulations. The hiring desk works in collaboration with a broker, who assists in finding suitable candidates and acts as an intermediary in the hiring of external staff. The hiring desk provides managers with service-oriented support and expert advice.

Salary Administration

The Salary Administration ensures that salaries and allowances are processed accurately and on time. Enquiries regarding payslips, payments and tax arrangements are handled by the HR Service Desk, which forwards them to the payroll department where necessary.

Terms and Conditions Advisory Desk

The Terms and Conditions Advisory Desk provides advice and answers questions regarding terms and conditions of employment, schemes and collective bargaining agreements. It supports the HR Service Desk & Personnel Management and HR advisers in applying these correctly.

Project Management

The HR Service Centre also employs a number of project managers. They support the organisation in delivering HR-related projects and change initiatives. The team oversees projects from inception to implementation, monitors planning and progress, and ensures coordination between the teams and stakeholders involved. The focus is on process improvement, collaboration and the successful implementation of changes within the organisation.

Functional Management (HR systems)

Functional Management provides support for the use and operation of HR systems, including BASS. They resolve issues, improve processes and ensure that systems are optimally aligned with the organisation’s needs.
