Guest speaker Jurjen Simmelink (NEWS)
During the Communication Masterclass, guest speaker Jurjen Simmelink from the National Expert Centre for Science and Society (NEWS) explained why science communication is essential for a healthy relationship between research and the public. Drawing on his experience as a science communicator, TV maker and former press officer at Radboud University, he showed how meaningful dialogue and public involvement not only improve understanding, but also strengthen science itself.
Science communication at Radboud University and Donders Institute
After Jurjen Simmelink, Dirk-Jan Melssen (Donders Institute) and Thomas Haenen (Radboud University) will show you how to put this into practice effectively.
