On Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th it is time for the annual Weekend of Science. There is a lot to do, experience and see across the Donders Institute. Any curious minds can get their cup filled.
Saturday October 3:
The weekend starts on Saturday morning (9:30 AM till noon) with the doors of the Baby and Child Research Centre opening at the Max Planck Institute. There will be a playroom, research games, short talks, stories, and much more to experience for children between 0 and 6 year and adults!
The full program can be found here.
We continue the day at the Faculty of Science and the Launch where the invisible will be made visible from 11 AM till 5 PM. Explore how your brain works through hands-on adventures: navigate mazes like a mouse, wear an exoskeleton, experience illusions, and discover all the things we can make visible with light and microscopy. Challenge yourself with games about memory and balance, learn why sleep matters and how animal brains compare to yours. Play the ADHD Escape, participate in quick experiments, draw science with an illustrator and researcher, and more!
The full program can be found here.
Sunday October 4:
Last, but certainly not least. On Sunday the Radboudumc welcomes anyone who would like to have a peek behind the scenes. The Open Day is for young and old alike, and takes place from 12:00 to 4:30 PM. Have you always wanted to see, feel, and hear what it's like at Radboudumc? Then step into the shoes of a researcher, nurse, facilities staff member, or student for a day. This year is extra special: Radboudumc is celebrating 70 years of academic hospital care and 75 years of medical education.
