Take a look at our Sensorimotor lab

Imagine you're a professional football player, sprinting at full speed with the ball at your feet. You dribble effortlessly, and at just the right moment, you kick the ball with your left or right foot, and you score a goal. This seamless connection between perception and action is precisely what the Sensorimotor Lab at the Donders Institute studies.

At the heart of this research is the relationship between how we perceive the world around us and how we move within it. Researchers within the lab focus on understanding how we learn and refine movements, using cutting-edge technology to investigate the underlying processes that allow us to perform even the most complex physical actions. A better understanding of these processes could lead to improvements from healthcare to robotics.

Researchers Pieter Medendorp and Leonie Oostwoud Wijdenes provide you an unique look at the Sensorimotor lab:

Do you want to participate in an experiment?

You can! Participants have the unique opportunity to contribute to research and witness their brain's firsthand stimulation. If you want to participate in an experiment, you can contribute as one of the first to new technologies. As you can see in the video, it is fun to see what is going on in research here and what we do, as well as to look at your brain.
