What:
You are going to listen to an audiobook for 90 minutes and get a short scan of your brain anatomy.
Why:
We want to explore what your brain is doing when you are listening to something that you can hardly understand.
How:
This experiment includes three parts.
- The first part is to choose between a pair of audio words which one is more like a Chinese word. This lasts for about 15 minutes
- The second part is to listen to 40 audio segments extracted from an audiobook, each last about 60 seconds. After each segment, there are two short audio clips (each lasts for 3 seconds) to be played, you need to decide which one is more extracted from the previous segment you just listened. This main part will take about 75 minutes.
- The third part will be explained by the experimenter after the main experiment is finished. This part will take about 15 minutes
