Application fee

All Bachelor's and Master's applicants at Radboud University with previous international education pay a non-refundable application fee of 100 euros. This application fee is laid down by national law and contributes to the costs of processing international applications, including the assessment and authentication check of diplomas, transcripts, language qualifications, and other supporting documents.

* For applications for the February 2027 intake the former policy applies: 75 euros for non-EEA applications for our Master’s programmes.

How the application fee works

  • An international diploma (obtained or to be obtained) refers to prior education completed outside the Netherlands (non-Dutch prior education). A non-Dutch diploma refers to a diploma that is not part of the Dutch education system (the Dutch VWO diploma, Dutch HBO P, a Dutch HBO diploma, or a Dutch WO-bachelor diploma).
  • If you have obtained or will obtain an International Baccalaureate (IB) or European Baccalaureate (EB) in the Netherlands, it is also considered a non-Dutch diploma.
  • You only need to pay the application fee once per academic year, even if you apply for multiple Bachelor's and/or (pre-)Master's programs at Radboud University.
  • You can only submit your application after your payment has been received unless you are exempted from paying the application fee.
  • The fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of your application or whether you decide to withdraw your application at a later stage.
  • Make sure to check our application deadlines. We strongly advise you to apply well in time, as we can only process your application after payment of the application fee.

When you do NOT have to pay the application fee

  • You have refugee status in the Netherlands (residence permit for asylum) or are applying through the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF).
  • You have a Dutch pre-university diploma (VWO) obtained in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Maarten, Saba, St. Eustatius or, Suriname. And you apply for a Bachelor’s programme at Radboud University.
  • You are an exchange student from a partner institution of Radboud University and you subsequently apply for a Master’s programme.
  • You have been nominated for or you are already enrolled in a joint programme of Radboud University and a foreign partner institution (joint, double or dual degree programmes).
