Once you have been admitted, you will receive instructions by email about what you still need to do to enrol in your programme. You will only be enrolled once your admission has been approved by the Admissions Board and your previous education has been verified.
Enrolment procedure for international students
Steps
Step 1: Complete the Pre-Arrival Services form in OSIRIS Application
The Student Admissions office provides special Pre-Arrival Services for international students who are enrolling in a programme at Radboud University. The Pre-Arrival Services include help with housing, social activities and visa (if applicable).
Step 2: Verification of documents
To complete your enrolment, we must verify your documents. We can do this by verifying them online (only certain documents) and by processing the certified copies that you send by post. See the list of documents that we can verify online.
We must be able to verify your documents before the enrolment deadline.
A certified copy document is a photocopy of the original document, which is stamped and signed by a municipality, a notary or your school/university and states that it is a true copy of the original document. Certified copies need to be sent to us on paper by post or courier and not by email.
For enrolment as a student, we must verify the required documents listed below:
- Valid Residence Permit (if non-EU/EEA student)
If you already have one issued by the Netherlands, the Central Student Administration will send you an email requesting a scan of your permit. If not, Student Admissions will contact you about the visa and residence permit process. - Diploma listed in the admission email
If you will not obtain your diploma before the enrolment deadline mentioned in your admission email, please note that you have to send us a completed ‘Proof of Diploma’ form with the original signatures and stamp. See the possibilities for online verification of your diplomas. - Translation of your diploma, if it is not originally in Dutch, English or German. The diploma must be translated by an officially recognised ('sworn') translator.
- English language certificate, if listed in the admission email
Find the language requirements for all English-taught programmes and the instructions for online verification of your English certificate here.
Please be aware that additional documents may be required. All required documents will be mentioned in your admission email.

How to obtain certified copies:
- Valid Residence Permit (if non-EU/EEA student)
Step 3: Finalise your registration in Studielink
From June onward, you will be able to indicate your method of tuition fee payment in Studielink. This needs to be completed, even if you have a scholarship or special circumstances.
There are multiple methods of payment for the tuition fee:
- Please remember, if you have chosen for the tuition fee to be deducted from a SEPA bank account, you need to log into Studielink again to confirm the digital authorisation.
- If you choose to transfer the money to the university yourself or pay by credit/debit card, this should be done before 15 August. Please indicate the payment method in Studielink before transferring the money. The payment method details are in the link above.
Step 4. After you arrive, register your address with the municipality
The Student Admissions office will send you an email with information about making an online appointment to register with the municipality. Do not forget to take the following documents with you to your appointment:
- Valid passport or European ID card
- A copy of your room contract
