What will you learn
During the Bachelor's program in American Studies, you will explore the United States in all its complexity - its societ, politics, history, culture and language. You will gain in-depth knowledge of American literature, media, the arts and political institutions, as well as the role of the U.S. in global affairs. You will also study the spread and status of English as a world language and work towards mastering both spoken and written English at a professional level.
American Studies is one of the two specializations in our Bachelor's degree program in English Language and Culture. If your interest lies in language, literature and culture of Britain and other English-speaking regions, please check the English Language and Culture program.
