  • Study in the oldest city of the Netherlands while being a short train ride away from cultural cities such as Cologne and Amsterdam. Nijmegen is also a vibrant place to enjoy art, music, and film festivals.
  • Enjoy an active cultural life by putting your knowledge in practice. You will host presentations, participate in cultural excursions and visit cultural events.
  • Radboud University offers you the opportunity to study a semester or do an internship abroad as part of your Bachelor’s programme.
  • During your studies, you are already preparing for the job market through practical assignments, such as setting up an exhibition or making a podcast or documentary. You will also practise with forms of writing other than academic essays, such as infographics, interviews and opinion pieces.
  • You will acquire fundamental knowledge of many different arts disciplines: art, literature, music, film, television, theatre and new media. You will approach art and culture from a historical perspective as well as from contemporary critical approaches.

In the Bachelor's in Arts and Culture Studies, students gain practical experience during multiple assignments. An example of such an assignment is this documentary that was created by students as part of the course Moving Documentaries.
