About this study curriculum

The study programme consists of existing components from the regular Bachelor's programmes. This means the degrees are equivalent to those from the individual programmes. The degrees provide access to all Master's programmes in Mathematics, Computing Science and Physics and Astronomy within the Netherlands.

The courses are arranged so that, if a student follows the indicated sequence, there are no issues with prior knowledge requirements. The reduction in study load in the combined programme is achieved through:

  • Filling minors with courses from each other's curricula
  • Replacing mathematics courses from the Computing Science or Physics and Astronomy curriculum with equivalent courses from the Mathematics curriculum
  • Eliminating overlapping courses
  • One final Bachelor's thesis, ideally addressing a topic at the interface of both disciplines

The complete curriculum for the double Bachelor's in Mathematics & Computing Science and Mathematics & Physics and Astronomy can be found in the online course guide.
