Tailor-made course Young Leaders for Sustainable Democracy

Our democracy is under pressure. We are witnessing increasing polarisation in society and, growing protests from, among others, the climate movement and farmers and local government is in danger of being undermined by criminal organisations. At the same time, local authorities are struggling with integrity issues due to conflicting business and administrative interests, and the use of big data is jeopardising the privacy of our citizens.

About the course

Are you working within the public sector? Do you encounter such challenges from your role? And would you like to work towards a sustainable and resilient democracy? During this Radboud University course, we discuss different perspectives on resilient democracy using practical examples. You will learn how to work on strengthening resilient and resilient democracy in practice.

For whom is the training intended?

The six-part course is suitable for mid-career professionals with 3 to 8 years of work experience within the public sector (civil servants in municipalities, provinces and the state, and professionals in civil society organisations), who want to make their contribution from an (in)formal leadership role to strengthening and resilientising our democratic society.

What does the training provide?

You will learn how to work in practice to strengthen and develop a resilient democracy;
You reflect on a central question and a specific theme you are struggling with and which is linked to Sustainable Democracy.
