Value(s)-driven sustainability dialogue

The sustainability transition requires resilience and long‑term commitment from innovators within organisations. It also demands collaboration between government, businesses and citizens. We aspire to a sustainable future, yet opinions about what that future should look like, and what is needed to get there, differ widely. As a result, we repeatedly find ourselves stuck in stalemates, protests and polarisation.

    Masterclass for professionals

In this one‑day masterclass, we begin by analysing the ethical convictions about humanity, nature and society that guide our thinking and actions. The reasons behind what we believe or do can rarely be traced back to a single source. We are complex beings — both rational and emotional. At times, we may not even fully understand why we are so convinced of our own actions. An important first step, therefore, lies in better understanding ourselves and each other. Failing to acknowledge this complexity and the value(s)-laden perspectives of others is often the main cause of misunderstanding, polarisation and frustration. By recognising these perspectives, we can more easily identify shared values that provide a foundation for constructive dialogue.

The language of this masterclass is Dutch. For more information we advice you to switch to the Dutch website.
