Specialisations

  • Cultural Policy and the Business of Art

    The Master’s specialisation in Cultural Policy and the Business of Art will allow you to explore fundamental questions about the importance of art and cultural entrepreneurship in Dutch society.

  • Art History

    The Master’s specialisation in Art History offers courses in art and visual culture in a transhistorical and global perspective. You study artworks in relation to actual and pressing issues about power, heritage, meaning or identity.

  • Creative Industries

    In the Creative Industries Master's specialisation, you will come to understand a field buzzing with creativity: where art meets commerce, where culture generates innovation and sustainability.

  • Tourism and Culture

    By combining historical, literary, art-historical and other humanities approaches, and by integrating academic research with practical challenges, Tourism and Culture will train you as an academic expert and an innovative professional.

  • Education in Museums and Heritage (double degree programme)

    The Master’s programme Education in Museums and Heritage offers global and innovative approaches to education in the museum and heritage sector, with placements and a minimum of three mobility periods in Europe.

Pre-Master's

  • Pre-Master's Creative Industries

    If you do not have the right bachelor's degree for our Master’s specialisation in Creative Industries, you can in some cases apply for our pre-Master’s programme. In this programme you get acquainted with the world of Creative Industries.

  • Pre-Master's Cultural Policy and the Business of Art

    If you are not able to directly enroll in the Master’s specialisation in Kunstbeleid en Kunstbedrijf, you may be eligible for a pre-Master’s programme. in which you will learn about the world of policy and patronage.

  • Pre-Master's Tourism and Culture

    If you do not have the right Bachelor's degree for our Master’s in Tourism and Culture, you can in some cases apply for our pre-Master’s programme. You get acquainted with theories from cultural studies and write a thesis on arts and culture.

  • Pre-Master's Art History

    Are you not directly admissible to the Master's in Art History? Then you may be eligible for a pre-Master's degree.
