What will you learn

You will get an understanding of the molecular, individual or population and societal aspects of human health and disease and learn to conduct scientific research independently. The master’s programme allows you to construct a curriculum that meets your research interests and career goals. We offer a broad range of biomedical courses from which you can choose. Next to that, you will perform at least 2 internships and a literature thesis to develop your professional and academic skills.

Career prospects

Research

This master’s programme has a strong link with research departments connected to the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen. The specialisations are connected with leading scientists from their respective fields.  

During the master’s you have to perform at least two internships: a general research internship and an internship for your chosen profile. During your general research internship you will get a first-hand experience with research in practice. Students who choose the research career profile will do a second research internship. Students who choose the consultancy or communication career profile, will perform an internship where they combine their knowledge of their discipline with insight into the interaction between science, technology, and society.

Multidisciplinary research

At the Radboud university medical center, scientists perform cross-disciplinary research. Instead of working on a single disease, scientists with different expertise and from different departments work together to solve the health challenges we face.
