Study end date

Hanne van Uden was a Master's student in Cognitive Neuroscience (research) at Radboud University.

What did you like about the programme and why? How has the programme challenged you (in relation to your previous education)?

What I liked about Cognitive Neuroscience is the close relation with the field and the possibility to gain hands-on research experience. Already in my first year, I had a look at what a day of a neuroscientist looks like. This was really helpful in finding what career I wanted to pursue.

What did you think about the atmosphere in class?

Despite having followed nearly all classes online, I felt connected with the teachers and my fellow students. There is a safe learning environment and my classmates are very helpful.

What did you find most challenging in your Master’s?

The most challenging aspect of my Master's was following all classes online, because it made it harder to find motivation every day.

What was your thesis about?

For my thesis I investigated the influence of body orientation and gesture on neural synchrony.

Why do you think is it important that there are people out there with this degree? What are your plans once have received your Master's degree?

I think Cognitive Neuroscience is important because it brings together people with completely different backgrounds. Because of this multidisciplinarity, highly valuable scientific insights can be gained.
