What will you learn

The experience of places is key in tourism. In this Master's specialisation, you will explore the meaning and experience of places are how places are being made. You will investigate how tourists experience places and how tourism is experienced by the people living and working at these places, to make tourism and touristic places economically, culturally, socially as well as ecologically more sustainable and valuable for all involved. This includes topical issues like over-tourism, dark tourism, community tourism, green tourism, heritage tourism, touristic encounters, tourism planning, etc. This specialisation is offered in close cooperation with Wageningen University.
