What do you like about the specialisation and why?
I really like that after building a strong foundation in my Bachelor's in Computing Science, I can now focus on the area that I enjoyed the most, which is Cyber Security. It feels like the proper continuation of my personal and professional growth, especially since I followed my Bachelor's at Radboud as well. I strongly believe that at the end of my studies I will be one step closer to becoming an expert in this field, and this is a feeling that constantly motivates me to keep up.
What do you think about the atmosphere in class?
I definitely think that at this level there are different expectations from both the students and teachers. Students want to feel challenged, study relevant topics and be pushed to think out of the box, while the teachers want us to be more active during the lectures, take the initiative and sometimes even challenge their own knowledge of the field. All these things make the lectures and courses more interactive and fun.
What do you find most challenging in your Master’s?
The most challenging thing was, surprisingly, the freedom offered by the programme. You are free to make your own schedule and it is up to you to start working on the different projects and assignments on time. This is different from the experience I had during my Bachelor's, but I see it as a good way of preparing for the work I will do after graduating.
