Career prospects

More and more national policy is being integrated into the EU, so our students’ prospects in the labour market are highly favourable. The same is true of the range of policy areas students can expect to work in. These include agriculture, the environment, energy and the economy. As a result, EU work has become a standard part of many civil servants’ lives, creating significant demand for graduates who are knowledgeable of European affairs. Graduates will be able to move into areas like policy positions at the EU level and positions at ministries, municipalities, interest groups and consultancies at both the national and sectoral level, wherever insight into cross-border administrative cooperation is valued. We prepare students for the labour market by focusing on professional skills and providing them with the opportunity to complete an internship. Students who wish to pursue careers in research can also combine this internship with an internal research project.

After your studies

Graduates can expect careers in:

  • Ministries, embassies, EU institutions, local/regional government
  • Consultancy
  • Stakeholders in EU policy
