What will you learn

Courses in the specialisation will provide you with a solid background in human molecular biology and animal models. You will apply this knowledge in developing clinically-oriented research questions. Thanks to extensive collaboration between the Faculty of Science and Radboudumc, you become familiar with both perspectives.

The specialisation starts off with three main topics: Translational Genomics, Molecular Therapeutics, and Stem Cell BiologyOnce you have completed these, you can follow your own tracks to prepare for your internship of choice.

After graduation, you can take up positions as researchers at universities, hospitals, and medical and pharmaceutical companies. You can also apply your academic background to societal issues, taking positions as supervisors of clinical trials, consultants, policy officers, communications officers and teachers.

Research

You benefit from an extensive collaboration between the Faculty of Science and Radboudumc in the field of human biology. You get the best of both worlds: a thorough background in for example: molecular oncology, human genetics, physiology, and metabolism as well as a clinical view on diseases. During your internships, you perform your own experiments, under the supervision of one of our top researchers.
