Curriculum of Information Sciences
This Master's is taught at the Faculty of Science in collaboration with Nijmegen School of Management. This programme has a course load of 60 EC or one year.

In your Master's thesis, you will prove that you are able to analyse a problem in Computing or Information Science at master level and design a solution for this problem using scientific methods and techniques. It is possible to combine your research for the master's project with an internship in a suitable company.
Specialisations
Expertise in privacy and, more generally, information security is highly sought after, in both government agencies and private enterprises, at all levels of management up to board level. Larger organisations already have a (Chief) Information Security Officer. The new EU Privacy legislation legally requires many to also have a Chief Privacy Officer (CPO). The (chief) information security officer and privacy officer are responsible for defining the information security strategy and privacy policies for an organisation and managing their implementation.

As a specialist in digital architecture and alignment, you will be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders with an aim to represent and incorporate the stakeholders' needs into a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information needs and systems. Based on (your analysis of) the information obtained from these various stakeholders and on your technical assessment and evaluation of priorities, you can design an architecture that provides competitive business solutions and supports the most efficient and secure IT environment to meet a company's business needs.
