After completing the Master’s programme in Language and Communication Technologies, you will have acquired the following competencies:

• You have gained knowledge of data structures, data bases and algorithms that is relevant to language and communication technologies; 
• You can use contemporary machine learning (large language models, deep learning algorithms) to perform practical tasks in the field of language and communication; 
• You are aware of the fact that trends come and go and you know what the consequences of this are for strategic and ethical decisions; 
• You can use your knowledge of linguistics and communication to understand the possibilities and limitations of contemporary and future language technologies; 
• You can make a critical and evidence-based evaluation of language technologies; 
• You can use your programming skills to analyse linguistic datasets for implementation in language technologies;
