Study programme

This specialisation focuses on the function of our epigenome, a key factor in regulating gene expression and in a wide range of diseases. In the Medical Epigenomics specialisation you won’t zoom in on only one particular gene, protein or signalling pathway. Instead, you’ll regard the cell as one complete system. Key subjects include (epi) genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, autoimmune diseases, cancer, neurological disorders, systems biology and computational biology.

  • Curriculum of Medical Epigenomics

    The Master’s specialisation in Medical Epigenomics is taught at the Faculty of Science. It has a course load of 120 EC (two years). The programme consists of compulsory courses, supplemented by electives, a review article and research proposal, and two internships at a research department within Radboud University or somewhere else.
