Study programme

The master's specialisation Medicinal Chemistry has a course load of 120 EC (two-year). The courses in the specialisation are strongly related to the research within three research institutes: The Institute for Molecules and Materials (IMM), the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS) and Radboud Institue for Health Sciences (RIHS). Research internships are available in all three institutes, but you can also go abroad, or to a company for one of the internships.

    The programme comprises of compulsory courses, supplemented by a set of specialisation electives. In addition, you’re allowed to follow a few courses at any faculty or university you want. The biggest part of your programme consists of your Master's internship(s), which includes practical work and report, as well as a literature thesis and, optionally, one or two courses relevant to the internship.

Study abroad

During your Master's programme, you will have the opportunity to go abroad for your studies, internship and/or thesis. You will learn to look at things from the perspective of a different culture and you will meet new people; it is an experience that will enrich your life.
