Study programme

Our brain contains many complex networks of billions of interconnected neurons. Together, they have a storage capacity and flexibility that far exceeds modern supercomputers, or any artificial intelligent system. The Master’s specialisation in Neurobiology aims at unravelling the neurobiological and neurocomputational mechanisms of this fascinating, complex system. The programme focuses on neuroscience research performed at the Donders Institute, in particular in relation to medical biology.

Curriculum

  • Curriculum of Neurobiology

The Master’s specialisation in Neurobiology has a course load of 120 EC (two years). Four compulsory courses form a common programme for all Neurobiology specialisation students in the first year. The programme of the second year can largely be made according to your own choices, with electives, a research proposal and two internships at a research topic of your choosing.
