The legal tuition, set by the Dutch government, is applicable to EU/EEA*, Swiss or Surinamese students who have not yet obtained a Master's degree in the Netherlands. There are some exceptions to these conditions. If you do not meet the above conditions and are from an EEA country, you qualify for the EEA institutional tuition fee. If you are from a non-EEA country (excl. Switzerland and Suriname), you qualify for the non-EEA institutional tuition fee. 

Please note, as a non-EU/EEA student you are eligible for the legal fee if you: 

  • Receive a UAF grant (for refugee students in the Netherlands); 
  • or if you meet the nationality requirement for a government study grant from DUO

*EU/EEA countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands (including the Dutch Caribbean), Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain or Sweden. 

Handling fee

Radboud University requires a one time handling fee of €75 for international applications for English-taught Master's programmes. Read more about the handling fee.

Scholarships & Grants

Radboud Scholarship Programme

For non-EEA students, only for certain programmes (follow link for more details). The Radboud Scholarship Programme is offered by Radboud University and provides a select number of talented non-EEA students with a scholarship to study at Radboud.

Radboud Encouragement Scholarship

The Radboud Encouragement Scholarship is available for applicants from non-EU/EEA countries. With the scholarship we try to give all talented students the opportunity to be part of the academic community, even if they might be struggling financially.

Orange Tulip Scholarship

The OTS offers scholarships to students from a number of countries who are interested in selected programmes at Radboud University.

Fulbright-Radboud Scholarships

The Fulbright Commission, sponsored by Radboud University, is offering scholarships for talented American students to study at Radboud University.

Faculty Scholarships for the Research Master's in Philosophy

The Faculty offers scholarships for excellent students from abroad, wishing to start the Research Master’s programme in Philosophy. Each scholarship amounts to €10.500 for the first year of the Research Master’s programme.

Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP)

The Orange Knowledge Programme is a Dutch global development programme, available in developing countries and managed by Nuffic, a Dutch non-profit organisation for internationalisation in education.

Dutch Student Finance

EU/EEA students who wish to take a degree programme in the Netherlands can sometimes be eligible for a Dutch student grant or loan.

Sino-Dutch Bilateral Exchange Scholarship

Formerly known as the China Programme, this focuses on excellent Chinese students who want to study or do research in the Netherlands for at least one academic year during or after their studies in China.
