Why study Philosophy of Religion in Nijmegen?
The specialisation in Philosophy of Religion explores both classical questions concerning religion, such as the problem of evil, the conceptualization of faith and religious practices, and the issues of religious pluralism and (in)tolerance. As a research Master’s student, you’ll be affiliated with the Center for Contemporary European Philosophy, and will take part in activities of this research group.
- This is the only research master in philosophy in the Netherlands that offers a specialisation in philosophy of religion
- Due to the programme offering elective seminars, you will be able to link the subject of religion to other philosophical fields such as philosophical ethics, political philosophy, philosophical anthropology or the history of philosophy.
