Study load

The Master's Specialisation in Philosophy, Politics and Society consists of 60 ECTS and takes one year. If you follow the regular programme, you have approximately 812 contact hours per week.

Our approach to teaching

The courses consist of 12 seminars of 4 hours each. During these seminars our staff present recent research from their area of expertise. The goal of these seminars is to bring you up to speed with the most recent research in these fields and to help you develop your own philosophical perspective. The seminars consist of small groups of around ten 10 students.

You are encouraged to actively participate during these seminars by discussing current topics. In addition to these traditional seminars, our teachers strive to include more innovative educational methods, including conference visits and practicing interview skills.

You finish each course with a portfolio consisting of various written work and/or presentations.
