The Science for Sustainability programme is a 2- year full-time on-campus learning programme of 120 EC which consists of the following components:
Compulsory courses (63 EC)
Free electives (15 EC)
Master's thesis (42EC)
The first year has four quarters of 15 EC each. Each quarter consists of two 6 EC courses and one 3 EC course. The second year centres around the MSc thesis and provides the student with the opportunity to follow ‘free electives’ to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills needed for the MSc thesis.

The Science for Sustainability programme is a 2-year full-time on-campus learning programme. You learn how to contribute to environmental sustainability challenges (e.g. biodiversity decline, climate change or resource scarcity) in collaboration with societal actors. The second year centres around the MSc thesis.
During your Master's programme, you will have the opportunity to go abroad for your studies, internship and/or thesis. You will learn to look at things from the perspective of a different culture and you will meet new people; it is an experience that will enrich your life. What’s more, it will look great on your CV.
