Why study Science for Sustainability in Nijmegen?

The aim of the Master's programme Science for Sustainability is to train sustainability navigators, i.e., applied scientists or academic professionals who are able to guide transitions towards a sustainable society. The realisation of a sustainable society requires motivation, a sense of direction, interdisciplinary knowledge and collaboration between various societal actors. Together with these actors, a sustainability navigator can apply scientific knowledge from a variety of fields to develop a shared understanding of an environmental sustainability challenge, explore potential solutions, set direction and guide the transition process.
