This specialisation focuses on how the private sector shapes our sustainable society. More and more businesses believe that they have a responsibility to tackle environmental changes. But how do businesses and markets deal with the ethical and societal responsibility for sustainability? How can governments make sure that companies consider the environment while trying to make profit? Or should the pressure to think about the environment come from NGO’s or consumers? Within this specialisation, you will learn about innovation management and new business models in environmentally sustainable economies.
Master's specialisation in Sustainable Economies and Corporations
- In this programme, students will learn about the corporate level of sustainability transformations and rethinking sustainable economies. Particular attention is paid to opportunities for new business models and innovation. A major focus is placed on policies and strategies of businesses and the social-organisational aspects.
- Theory is put into practice. During the programme, you will be in close contact with the professional field when listening to guest lecturers and carrying out your research internship, which enable you to assess how well key theories and dynamics perform in practice.
- Related aspects of business administration can be integrated together with this specialisation. If you like, you can take courses that are offered in the Master’s in Business Administration as electives for a multidisciplinary perspective.
