Former student Frieda Stifft finished the Master's specialisation Work, Organisation and Health.

What do you like about this Master's specialisation and why?

I like that you only study with students who are interested in the same things as you are. We had a really nice introduction day with the teachers as well, so practically everyone knows each other.

What do you think about the atmosphere in class?

The atmosphere in the Master's programme is very relaxed. It's a small group and you have a lot of practical workgroups. Therefore everyone knows each other and the teachers are very approachable and friendly.

What do you find most challenging in your Master’s? Have you encountered any obstacles?

The programme asks a lot more of you than the Bachelor's did. There is a lot more to read, more to learn and you will be asked to think like a Master's student, so on a higher level. It is not about learning things anymore, but about connecting things you've already learned and putting them into practice. This is quite challenging, but you also get the feeling that you are learning something that is really relevant for your future profession, which is very nice.

Are you currently doing an internship? Or what is your thesis about?

I am currently looking for an internship as it is mandatory to do one from February onward. I will write a thesis during my internship. You get a lot of help for writing your CV and your applications.

Why do you think it is important that there are people out there with this degree? What are your plans once you have received your Master's degree?

People spend most of the day at work, so I think it is important to look at work from a psychological perspective. I want to work in People Development and Learning, so helping everyone to get to their right place and develop on a professional and personal level.
