Admission requirements
The required prior education for taking subjects through contract education is the same as for attending a university study. Exceptions are first-year subjects (B1).
Some subjects have specific admission requirements; these are listed in the course information. If you do not meet the admission requirements, but do have sufficient relevant work experience, you can discuss with the coordinator of contract education and the course lecturer whether participation in a course is possible.
Course offer
The law faculty's full course offerings can be found here. You can participate in almost all courses of 5 credits (EC) or more. Think of courses such as Labour Law, Tenancy Law, Environmental Law and courses in notarial and financial law, but also current courses such as Artificial Intelligence & Law and Privacy & Data Protection Law. Participation in subjects of less than 5 EC is possible in consultation.
Costs
The course fees in 2024-2025 are €145 per EC for the bachelor courses and €175 per EC for the master courses. For this fee, you may participate in the courses, take part in two (scheduled) examinations and get access to the digital learning environment. This does not include the cost of literature, study materials and travel. You will receive an invoice for payment of the course fees. The invoice must be paid within 10 working days. The tuition is exempt from VAT.
Radboud University alumni
As an alumnus, you can take 18 EC of free education after graduation. You then pay for the courses with a voucher. Did you not receive a voucher after your graduation? Then you can apply for one digitally. If you no longer have free vouchers, you will receive a discount as a Radboud University alumni. For you, the course price will then be €50.00 per EC.
Certificate
If you pass the examination, you will receive a certificate on request. Participation in the examination is not compulsory. A certificate of participation will be issued under certain conditions.
NOvA training points
Through contract education, you can claim NOvA training points. To do so, you must be able to demonstrate that the education was actively followed. If the education was only followed remotely, the education must be concluded with a test, for which a sufficient score was achieved.
