Do you want to take courses at Radboud University, improve your language skills, become familiar with the Dutch education system, develop valuable competences and build or expand your network in the Netherlands? You can do all this through Radboud Welcomes Newcomers, an education programme specifically designed for students with a refugee background.
Education for refugee students
At Radboud University, we offer tailored programmes every semester designed to help you grow, familiarize yourself with Dutch education, and build a strong network. You’ll have the chance to select and attend a course within one of our faculties. Alongside your academic course, you’ll participate in additional training sessions that will guide you through the cultural landscape, assist in your search for further studies or employment, and help you navigate Dutch society. The programme includes the following:
- An OV-chipkaart (public transport card)
- A loaner laptop for the duration of your course
- A sports pass for the Radboud Sports Centre
- A buddy to help you navigate the university
- Dutch language lessons
- Social activities
