Because some mandatory courses are not being offered since 2024-2025 due to the changes in the minor system, a number of transitional arrangements have been formulated on how to replace these courses.
If you have not yet passed the theme course of your minor and your minor will no longer be offered in 2025-2026, choose a course from the interdisciplinary package of your minor, using the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 minor guide.
Side note: It is possible that not every course mentioned in the interdisciplinary package will still be offered in 2025-2026.
From July 1 2025 onwards, after viewing the 2025-2026 study and minor guide, make sure to submit which course you would like to replace your theme course with using the form below.
If you have not yet passed Academia & Society (incl. Study Abroad: Academia and Society (LET-LETMI-RF12)) or you have not yet participated in this course, you will join Cultureel Erfgoed en Publiek: Wetenschap en Samenleving (LET-LETMI-RF03) if you speak Dutch. If you don’t speak Dutch, please contact Christa van Mourik, our faculty minor coordinator via christa.vanmourik [at] ru.nl (christa[dot]vanmourik[at]ru[dot]nl) .
If you have not yet passed or participated in the think tank of your thematic minor, please register for the general think tank that takes place in semester 2 (LET-LETMI-DT13). A wide range of humanities subjects are offered here. Students studying non-nominally can also opt for Think Tank (LET-LETMI-DT00, semester 1) to avoid further study delays.
After 1 July 2025, after reviewing the 2025-2026 study and minor guide, please submit which course you would like to replace the actual think tank course with using the form below.
If you want to complete the think tank with an internship at a company or organisation or a research internship, submit a request to the examination board. You do NOT have to fill in the form below.
If you started the interdisciplinary package of a minor that is no longer offered in 2025-2026, you can simply complete that package in 2025-2026. To do so, use the information on this package from the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 minor guide or - in case of the minor Policy (BOC), Diversity (DIG) or Multilingualism - the minor guide of 2025-2026.
If you have not yet started this package but are planning to and have already completed all the fixed components of the thematic minor, the same applies. Side note: It is possible that not every course mentioned in the interdisciplinary package will still be offered in 2025-2026.
If you have only completed the theme course OR Academia & Society of the thematic minor, you might consider opting for the elective minor and filling the elective space of 30 EC with courses from the interdisciplinary package, supplemented with the theme course OR Academia & Society.
