Pre-Master's tracks Environment and Society Studies
Curriculum
Curriculum for students with a degree obtained in the Netherlands
This pre-Master's programme is for students who have completed (or are in the process of completing) a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to Geography, Planning or Environment and wish to pursue a Master's in Environment and Society Studies. This pre-Master's gives, together with a completed Bachelor, access to the Master's specialisations of Environment and Society Studies.
We offer specific pre-Master’s programmes for international students whose prior education is insufficient for direct admission to the Master’s programme in Environment and Society Studies, to bridge the gap. Successful completion of one of these programmes will allow you to enrol in one of our Master’s specialisations Environment and Society Studies.
It is not possible for HBO students to be admitted directly to a Master’s programme. First, they must participate in a pre-Master’s programme that will provide them with the basic scientific knowledge and academic skills at the level of a university Bachelor’s programme. Successful, motivated HBO students can take a maximum of five courses in advance from the pre-Master's programme. This will reduce the costs of the pre-Master’s programme to be taken later.
