About this study curriculum
The pre-Master's programme consists of core courses from the regular Bachelor's programme: Geografie, Planologie en Milieu (GPM). In addition, you take some courses on academic research methodology, which teach you scientific research skills and methods.
The pre-Master’s programme takes one academic year (max. 60 EC) and consists of key courses from the regular Bachelor’s programme and courses that teach students academic research proficiencies and methods. The programme that you have to follow (30EC or 60 EC) depends on your previous education.
- For students with a degree from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences, the programme consists of 60 EC.
- Students with a diploma from a Dutch research university diploma have to follow a programme, which in most cases consists of 30EC. To evaluate this, you must register in Studielink where you can request exemptions for courses in the pre-master that are similar to courses from your own bachelor and a formal decision will be made regarding your admission. Usually, you will receive a decision within three weeks.
