Exemption for a course

You can request exemption for a course in your study programme if you think that you have achieved some or all course objectives based on previously obtained courses. In case of doubt, please discuss with your student advisor first. If you want to request exemptions for multiple courses, please fill in this form for each course separately.

Please provide the correct information for each course. The details of each course can be found in the Osiris course guide (or equivalent in case of courses at other institutions).

Please note: if your request involves a course you followed or will follow in the future as part of a different programme then the grade for this course can not be listed on the diplomas of both programmes. You will have to make a choice which diploma you want the result for this course to be listed on.

Exemption for the minor and/or elective space

If you are doing a double degree, you can in some cases be exempted from the elective space in your curriculum (minor or free elective space). Consult the EER of your study programme which regulations apply to your prgramme and fill out the form below.

Important notes on applying for an exemption in the pre-master's programme:

In principle, an exemption for a course in a pre-master's programme can only be granted prior to the start of the pre-master's programme, due to the timely calculation of the pre-master's fee. If you wish to apply for an exemption during your pre-master's programme, the course may be withdrawn from your pre-master's programme without being entitled to a refund of the pre-master's fee. In that case, complete the rest of the form.

You can also have the course replaced by another course. In that case, contact toelatingscommissie [at] let.ru.nl (toelatingscommissie[at]let[dot]ru[dot]nl)
