"During my studies, I mainly focused on LGBTQIA+ activism, and over the years, this has developed into a broader interest in diversity, inclusion, and equality. My goal is to apply the knowledge I’ve gained to my work as a standardization consultant and within NEN as an organization."
What did Mats think of the program?
"Even though the masterclass was only two days long, Sandra and Yvonne managed to explain the material clearly and understandably. Additionally, they were able to bring in very interesting guest speakers. Nothing but praise for the program and the teaching style!
What impressed me the most were the stories about implementing a DIG (Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality) policy in the workplace. I truly realized that this is a complex and sometimes extremely challenging process, where it can be difficult to stay motivated. This gave me a new perspective and respect for DIG professionals."
Mats found the masterclass to be a good mix of practice and theory, with a lot of enthusiasm and a high level of passion. The masterclass gave him a solid foundation for the internal discussions about diversity, inclusion, and equality. Mats concludes by saying, "I can now contribute to the conversation on this topic at various levels."
