What do you like about the programme/specialisation and why?
I chose this programme because of the courses (especially the mandatory ones) and the knowledge they could offer me. So far the courses have fulfilled my expectations and are giving me a solid background for whatever I want to do after the degree in the biomedical field.
What do you think about the atmosphere in class?
I like how in the Netherlands the hierarchy is flat, I feel like the professors and researchers are approachable and this makes it a lot more easier to ask questions during or after the lecture.
What do you find most challenging in your Master’s (specialisation)?
The study workload is quite extensive in this programme, but after the mandatory courses you can decide your own classes and this give a degree of freedom to choose what I want to prioritise in my degree.
Are you currently doing an internship?
I've just started my first internship at Genetics Department in RadboudUMC about new pipelines for Whole Genome Sequencing in cases of inherited hearing loss disorders.
