Support IvOC

Support and cooperation

IvOC is an independent, non-profit organisation. About a third of our funding comes from the Assumptionist Foundation (SAI), administered by the Congregation of the Assumptionists. Radboud University Nijmegen provides accommodation, infrastructure and other facilities. IvOC also applies for project funding from various sources, including the Konferentie van in Nederland gevestigd Religieuzen (KNR), the Sormani Fund, Stichting Communicantes and Stichting Pokrof.

However, this funding is not sufficient to maintain the institute at its current level or to expand in the near future. Our institute therefore depends on external support. We are open to sponsorship agreements with organisations and companies, and bequests/legacy donations from those who support our aims.

Bequest or donation in a will

A donation in a will is very special and has a lasting impact. Our institute is incredibly grateful for every gift we receive. Does Orthodox/Eastern Christianity hold a special place in your heart and would you like to make a donation to our Institute? Leaving a donation in your will to our Institute can be the perfect solution and is simple. Here are the different options you can consider:

A cash gift

Known as a cash legacy, this is a gift of a fixed amount. Inflation can reduce the value over time, but you can arrange for the fixed amount to increase with inflation.

A portion of your estate

Known as a residuary bequest, this is a percentage of what remains after all other gifts and expenses have been made. The value of the bequest will change in line with the value of your estate, so you are less likely to have to change your will in the future.

A specific item

If you have valuable possessions, such as books, works of art, icons or other valuables, you can bequeath them to the Institute of Eastern Christian Studies (IvOC) as a gift in kind. IvOC has already received donations of books and icons in the past.

I want to include IvOC in my will

If you would like to include our Institute in your will, please contact us to discuss the details. Thank you very much!
