Installing the corporate identity plugin on a private device (Windows)

Steps

1. To complete the installation correctly, you’ll need:

   • A computer running the Windows operating system
   • Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) – read here how to install it on a personal device (EduVPN connection required)
   • The latest version of the Radboud University corporate identity plugin

2. 1. Close all Office applications

   • Close all Microsoft 365 Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

3. 2. Download the installer for Windows

   • MSI-file to install the plugin (Click to download).

   Click the download button on the top-left of the screen to download the files to your computer.

   

4. 3. Run the installer

   • Navigate to the .msi file in the folder where you saved it.
   • Double-click the file to start the installation.

   

   • If you see a security warning, click 'More info', then select 'Run anyway'.
   • The installation will now begin — this may take a short moment.

   

5. 4. Check the installation in Word

   • First, open Microsoft Word (make sure you’re signed in with your Radboud account) and check whether the Radboud University corporate identity plugin appears in the top left corner of the toolbar.

   

   Click the red “Templates” button.

   • Check whether the list of templates appears.
   • Open a template and confirm that the correct document loads.

   Then:

   • Select Blank document.
   • Click LogoSwitch → Insert logo for PDF and check that the logo appears.
   • Click LogoSwitch → Remove logo again and verify that the logo disappears.

6. 5. Check the installation in Powerpoint

   Repeat the steps above, but skip the “LogoSwitch” test.

   

7. 6. Completion

   The installation is successful if:

   • The plugin installs without any error messages
   • The house style options in Word and PowerPoint are visible and functional
   • Templates and logos work correctly
