Pre-Master’s application procedure - Biomedical Sciences

To apply for the pre-Master's programme Biomedical Sciences, you need to submit a request for enrolment in Studielink. A placement procedure applies for this pre-Master's. Before you apply, please check the admission requirements for this programme. Then follow the steps below.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Submit your enrolment request via Studielink

    Apply for your chosen pre-Master’s programme via Studielink. You can apply for a programme for the following academic year from 1 October onwards.

    Apply preferably before 15 January. We will first process the applications received before this date. If you apply and submit your file after January 15, we can no longer guarantee that we can process your application and place you. In that case it is not possible to enrol as of 1 September.

    Please note: HAN physiotherapy students who want to do the pre-Master's year as a minor, follow an alternative route to apply. Follow the steps on the Application procedure minor page.

  2. Step 2: Fill in the digital questionnaire

    Because your prior education needs to be assessed, you will receive the login details for the digital questionnaire at the email address that you provided in Studielink. You will need to log in to the questionnaire, and once you have completed it you will need to upload the requested documents. Please make sure that you submit your completed questionnaire and the required documents in time. 

    Your request for admission will then be processed. Within approximately 3 weeks after you have submitted the digital questionnaire, Student Admissions will inform you by email about the admission decision. There are three possible outcomes:

    1. You will be granted unconditional admission
    2. You will be granted conditional admission. This means that there are conditions that you will need to fulfil before definitive admission can be granted. 
    3. You will not be granted admission. Your application will then be withdrawn from Studielink.

    The details of this outcome will be forwarded to the email address that you provided in Studielink.

  3. Step 3: The placement procedure

    There are 25 places available every year. The Examination Board decides who may participate in the pre-Master's. They will meet in May to make the decision. You will receive an official message about your admission by the end of May at the latest. You will receive instructions by email about what you still need to do to enrol.

    If you have been admitted to the pre-Master’s programme, please accept our congratulations! You may now enrol. You will need to have completed the enrolment procedure in Studielink by 31 August for pre-Master’s programmes that start in September and by 31 January for pre-Master’s programmes that start in February.
