I am interested in strategic spatial planning and vision making. My object of research are metropolitan regions, with their complex actor structures and broad range of challenges. This research is related to my broader interest in urban futures as result of lifestyle changes, technological advance, but also in terms of norm setting and policy making. A particular concern relates to conflict as creative moment in strategy making. A note on lifestyles: I live in an inter-generational co-housing project (in Germany); projects like this become increasingly popular and require our attention as planners.
