My research focuses on: 1) emotion regulation flexibility, comprising situation-dependent efficacy and dynamic adjustment of emotion regulation strategies to situational demands; and 2) the neurocognitive mechanisms of automatic emotion regulation. I use experimental paradigms combined with neuroimaging (EEG, MEG, fMRI) and neurostimulation (tDCS, TMS) methods, supplemented with psychophysiological (EMG), self-report (subjective ratings), and behavioral measures (ACC, RT).
