As alumni officer of the Faculty of Arts, I connect alumni with each other and with our students and staff. Because our students can (and want to) learn a lot from our alumni, I facilitate networking opportunities, alumni panels and guest lectures. Our alumni are always welcome on campus and are regularly invited for alumni lectures, career advice, reunions, life long learning and other alumni activities. Want to know more? I also coördinate the recruitment of our think tank assignments. Every year around 300 of our students work on a group assignment for different organizations, governments and corporate partners. In these so called think tanks, students work as a team for a partner and learn to translate their theoretical knowledge into a practical application.

The think tank differs from internship, because the assignments are done in groups of 6-10 students that work an average of 1,5 - 2 days a week on their project. The process is supervised by one of our teachers, meaning partners only need to invest around 8 hrs total. Furthermore, the final product does not need to be a standard report but can also be a practical product such as a workshop, an awareness campaign or an event. Theme's of the think tank vary from diversity & inclusion to multilingualism and from international relations to heritage and data.
