Francisco J. Arjona Madueño is Knowledge Transfer Officer at Radboud Innovation Science, the Technology Transfer Office of the Faculty of Science. He focuses on project development and on the valorisation of the knowledge generated in the Faculty. He supports scientists of the Institute of Water and Wetland Research (IWWR) and of the Institute for Science in Society (ISIS).
He has a background in Animal Physiology (Ph.D.) and Marine Sciences (M.Sc. and MAst), a multidisciplinary degree that combines environmental science, aquatic (micro)biology, aquaculture, chemistry, oceanography and (aquatic) animal and plant ecology and physiology. His Ph.D. research focused on the optimisation of fish aquaculture. From 2009 until 2019, Francisco worked as (postdoctoral) researcher at the Radboud University (2009-2011) and at the Radboudumc (2011-2019). His projects focused on disclosing the molecular mechanisms of several inherited diseases using the zebrafish as model organism. Through his research career, Francisco acquired his experience as project leader and developer.
