Dr F.A. Bakker (Frederik)

Frederik Bakker studied Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology and Classics at the University of Amsterdam. In 2010 he obtained a doctorate from Utrecht University with a dissertation on Epicurean cosmology. In 2012 he joined the Center for the History of Philosophy and Science, where he conducts research in the field of Ancient Philosophy, and especially Epicurean physics and epistemology, as well as its reception in the modern period. He is also interested in the reception of philosophy and science in classical literature.
